Sonja Langskjaer - Animator & Illustrator
On the polar circle, there's a mountainous barren little island surrounded by black, foaming sea and on it, a cluster of houses. That's where I grew up – and as you can imagine, the harsh (yet inspiring) environment allowed for more than enough time to sit inside and stare out of the window. At some point I decided to take up drawing, and as soon as I first saw a 2D-animated movie, I knew what I wanted to do. Fast forward to today, where I am a recently graduated and fully fledged animator. Currently I work for the Municipality of Træna, making art to promote my awesome birthplace (Træna), while doing freelance work on the side.
So far, I've created everything from children's books, animated shorts, logos, storyboards, huge street art pieces, tiny paintings and I've lost track of how many walk and run cycles I've animated. Other than that I really like otters and mostly wear punny t-shirts.
